Competitive Soccer

Competitive Soccer

UCC Athletic soccer programs are available for Central Missouri youth beginning at second grade and continuing through high school.  We focus on developing the total player through training, competition and emphasis on good sportsmanship.

UCC Athletic forms teams based on birth year and player experience to allow for healthy levels of competition. Every UCCA player is evaluated and placed on a team that fits their age, ability and skill level.  Players train twice weekly during the fall/spring seasons, and have optional training during the summer/winter off-seasons.

Our teams gain competition experience through regional friendlies, seasonal leagues and tournaments. UCCA teams are registered and ranked through the Missouri Youth Soccer Association (MYSA) and regularly compete in the SLYSA (St. Louis) and MADL (Central Missouri) leagues.

UCCA adheres to applicable guidelines established by U.S. Soccer and US Youth Soccer. This includes team age groupings, the format of play and rules, and policies on player safety.

*This chart is organized to demonstrate how players will be assigned and progress using the August 1st to July 31st Age Group formation cycle utilized by US Youth Soccer, US Club, and AYSO starting in August 2026. As teams look to update their rosters accordingly for the change in formation cycles, please remember that a team's age group is decided by the oldest player on the roster.

*According to U.S. Soccer's Player Development Initiatives, when determining the age group for a season, the year the season ends (2025) is used for determining the birth year. Also note that the format “U followed by age” really means that age and younger. For example, U10 should be read as 10 and younger.
